Support ELL students in Regional Summer School in collaboration with content area teachers.
Program Dates:
- July 2 & 3, seven (7) hours per day
- July 10, Staff only, seven (7) hours
- July 14- August 18, four (4) hours per day (no school 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1)
- August 19 & 20 seven (7) hours per day, proctoring and scoring exams
- August 21, hourly, as determined by summer school principal
- Must be able to work all dates
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Modify lessons for ELL students in collaboration with content teacher.
- Work with teachers to understand the needs of ELL students.
- Collaborate with administration to create optimal student schedules.
- Provide necessary test accommodations for assessments.
- Collaborate with testing coordinator and home schools to identify interpreters for exams.
- Establish and maintain home contact with families with limited, or no English-speaking ability.
- Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the Regional Summer School site principal.
Job Qualifications
Educational: Appropriate NYS Teacher certification required.
