Essential functions of the job may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare and implement instructional plans for English Language Learners (ELL) in alignment with school and state requirements
  
• Provide individualized and small group instruction to meet the needs of diverse ELL students
  
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support English language development across content areas
  
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  
• Implement standards for student behavior to ensure a safe, secure, and effective learning environment
  
• Regularly assess student progress and modify instructional strategies to support ongoing language development
  
  

RequirementsProven experience as an English as a Second Language Teacher or relevant role
Experience working with students of diverse language backgrounds
A bachelor”s degree from an accredited university is required. Master”s degree in TESOL or related degree is a plus
Must hold an Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement
