Founded in 1977, the Intensive English Language Institute (IELI) of the University of North Texas (UNT) has helped thousands of students achieve English mastery for degree study at UNT and other universities both in the U.S. and overseas. IELI has also provided extensive English Training programs internationally in China, Japan, Thailand, and Türkiye.
The IELI Associate Director position plays a leadership role in the academic life and business operations of IELI. The position has four main functions: academic and curriculum oversight including instructor support, assessment, and development of alternative delivery methods; administration and operations including oversight of IELI enrollment management and student records; student placement and progression within IELI; and assisting the Director in overall governance of and periodic reporting for IELI.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in TESOL or very closely related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching English for Academic Purposes at a university-based IEP
- Fluency and mastery of English
- Ability and permission to live and work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
