JOB ROLES:

Oversee and support ESL Specialists and campus Coordinators to ensure consistent ESL program implementation, coordinate LPAC meetings, ensure compliance with guidelines, provide leadership and training, collaborate on EL student strategies, and serve as the district's primary ESL liaison.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor”s degree ; Master”s degree preferred.
  • ESL/Bilingual certification .
  • Previous experience as a campus coordinator, administrator, or in a similar leadership role preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure district-wide compliance with ESL program requirements and LPAC processes.
  • Lead district-wide initiatives and training for ESL programs and EL student services.
  • Collaborate with district leadership to develop and implement strategies that support the academic and language development of EL students.
  • Serve as a liaison between the district and campuses for all ESL-related matters, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Oversee the implementation of instructional strategies and professional development for staff to enhance ESL services.
  • Coordinate and lead the planning, preparation, and facilitation of Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) meetings across multiple campuses, ensuring consistency and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Monitor and ensure the completion and confidentiality of all ESL documentation, including the identification, review, assessment, and reclassification of English Learner (EL) students across campuses.
  • Provide guidance and support to campus coordinators and administrators regarding the identification and state assessment testing of EL students to guarantee equitable access.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to the school database regarding EL students, including monitoring and reporting for FSP submissions and federal monitoring.
  • Support campus ESL coordinators in training teachers on instructional strategies, materials, and digital tools to enhance learning and language proficiency development for EL students.
  • Lead and coordinate parent meetings and conferences related to ESL services, including meetings for parents of EL denial students, failing monitor students, and exited EL students.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
