Long Term Substitute - Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages TESOL
The Hamilton City School District is looking for a Long Term Substitute who has a TESOL Endorsement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree or substitute teaching license. Preferred to be fully bilingual in Spanish and holds a TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) Endorsement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must provide in-class instruction as directed by the teacher collaboration with native language support to provide access to Ohio's Learning Standards and in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Must be flexible and dependable while maintaining the confidentiality of students and families.
Maintain classroom management of small groups of students in the target language.
Must be able to communicate clearly in target language and support English Language Proficiency Standards including domains of reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Adheres to all HCSD policies as outlined in the employee handbook
Be willing to work as a team within the ESL Department at the building level as well as the district level.
