Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver lesson plans tailored to the needs of ELL/ESL students.
- Assess and monitor students” language progress and academic performance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports language acquisition.
- Employ a variety of instructional strategies and resources to address diverse learning styles.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance student outcomes.
- Provide individualized or small group instruction to address specific learning needs.
- Stay updated with best practices in ELL/ESL education and integrate new methods and tools.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the unique needs of each student.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor”s degree in Education, Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field (Master”s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification or license with an ESL endorsement, if required.
- Experience teaching ELL/ESL students in a classroom setting.
- Strong knowledge of language acquisition theories and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Patience, flexibility, and a dedication to student success.
