Position Summary:
The Outreach Teacher plays a vital role in serving the diverse educational needs of students within Idaho Adult Ed's Region 3. This position operates as a hub for current and potential students, assisting with enrollment, providing instruction, and connecting students to valuable community and college resources. The Outreach Teacher delivers information and instruction aligned with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The range of responsibilities encompasses greeting and advising students, assessing their needs, enrolling them in appropriate studies, and teaching a variety of subjects, from English language acquisition to pre-college reading/writing/math/social studies/science to digital literacy, while fostering resiliency. The Outreach Teacher will maintain accurate student records, track attendance, and work collaboratively with a team to ensure students' educational success and retention.

The Outreach Teacher role is instrumental in helping students achieve their educational goals, fostering community engagement, and promoting the principles of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated to supporting adult learners in a dynamic educational environment.
Essential Functions:
• Welcome and inform current and potential students about Adult Ed offerings.
• Connect students to community and college resources.
• Administer assessments and ensure accurate student registration.
• Orient students and assist with enrollment.
• Provide instruction in various settings, covering a range of subjects.
• Maintain accurate student records and encourage progress.
• Communicate effectively and contribute to the team's efforts.
• Reflect CWI's values in all interactions.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field is required.
• Preferred certifications in education and/or TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
• Experience in teaching adults, preferably under WIOA.
• Experience in student databases.
• Experience in standardized testing.
• Experience in learning management systems.
• Experience in educational technology/platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft, Google, and/or Apple applications.
• Willingness and ability to improve personal skills to better serve students and the program.
• Experience in learning and using a foreign language is a plus.
Additional Instructions for Applicants:
• This part-time position will be about 6 hours per week at the Mountain Home Public Library. Days, times, and locations of shifts are subject to change and are not fixed.
• Spanish fluency is preferred.
• This position starts and ends in Mountain Home.
