Minimum Qualifications
M.A., M.Ed., or M.A.T. in English as a Second Language ( ESL ), Teaching English as a Second Language ( TESL ), or Teaching to Speakers of Other Languages ( TESOL ) OR M.A. in Applied English Linguistics, M.A. in Second Language Acquisition ( SLA ) or Second Language Teaching ( SLT ) with emphasis on and significant coursework in English language acquisition OR M.A. in Education, M.A. in Adult Education and TESOL Certification. NOTE : All degrees listed must have been granted by an approved accredited college or university. Demonstrated evidence of inclusive, equity- and diversity-minded teaching practices Demonstrated evidence of participation in professional development activities relevant to the program”s goals Professional experience teaching English to speakers of other languages Experience with testing, assessment, and evaluation of student learning Experience with the use of computers and technology in teaching ESL Advanced proficiency in both spoken and written English At least 3-5 years of recent experience teaching in an intensive English or academic English program for adult students at an accredited institution of higher learning in the US or abroad. Demonstrated successful experience being an effective collaborator across /within institutional units.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, may require some evenings & weekends as needed
