Summary: The English Language Learner Instructor will be responsible for empowering individuals by providing both English language and digital skills instruction to diverse groups within our community.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

English Language and Digital Skills Classes:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective English language and digital skills lessons for participants of varying proficiency levels.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and skill development in both English language and digital literacy.
Curriculum Development:
- Collaborate with the education team & lead instructor to develop and adapt curriculum materials for both English language and digital skills to meet the specific needs and goals of the learners.
- Integrate cultural and real-life context into lesson plans to enhance language acquisition and digital competencies.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Implement formative and summative assessments to gauge participants' progress in both English language and digital skills.
- Provide constructive feedback to learners, addressing areas for improvement and celebrating achievements.
Individualized Instruction:
- Recognize and address the diverse learning styles and needs of participants.
- Offer additional support to learners who may require extra assistance in both English language and digital skills.
Community Engagement:
- Actively participate in community events and outreach programs to promote English language and digital skills education.
- Collaborate with other community organizations to enhance the impact of our educational initiatives.
Outcome tracking and group-based education:
- Collect and verify all required participant data throughout the program, including Combined Financial Assessment and Financial Profile.
- Use Salesforce Lightning, a client management system, to document and reflect the outcomes of participants accurately and promptly.
- Maintain monthly and quarterly updates of outcome achievements to assist in program report preparation.
Other:
- Participate in professional development through appropriate conferences, workshops, webinars, etc.
- Ensure integration of the FOC model into our programming.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Education, Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL), Digital Literacy, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work experience, and certifications.
- Previous experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or English as a Foreign Language (EFL).
- Bilingual, must be fluent in Spanish and English.
- Must be available to work Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and other digital tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
- Ability to work with community partners and advocate on behalf of underserved populations.
- Ability to apply knowledge of social and cultural factors that impact education, financial, employment, and training of the target population.
- Ability to work in a non-judgmental way with a diverse range of people, maintaining a respectful and inclusive culture.
