1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Candidates must reside in Arizona for this role. This position is primarily responsible for conducting screening interviews with potential students to assess their readiness to train at AeroGuard. This includes conducting structured screening interviews with domestic applicants as well as English Proficiency Assessments for International applicants. Training will be onsite for the first two weeks of employment and then will transition to remote.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with the Enrollment team to schedule and track interviews.
  • Conducting screening interviews and English proficiency evaluations with potential students over Zoom.
  • Scoring interviews according to AeroGuard's interview scoring system.
  • Collecting and maintaining data related to AeroGuard's screening process.
  • Performing other duties in the Student Screening department as assigned.
  • Must be able to be flexible to work occasional evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  1. REQUIREMENTS
  1. EDUCATION
    • BA or MA in English, ESL(English as a Second Language), TESOL or related field preferred.
    • Experience teaching and assessing ESL preferred.
    • Flight training experience or FAA certificates a plus.
  1. EXPERIENCE
    • Previous interviewing experience preferred.
    • Experience working in admissions and/or enrollment a plus.
  1. SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to identify problems or potential problems and develop and implements solution.
  1. KNOWLEDGE
    • Candidates must possess the experience and skills necessary to conduct and score interviews appropriately.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
    • Ability to identify problems or potential problems and develop and implement solutions.
    • Strong computer skills including MS Office and Zoom proficiency.

    • General office equipment such as facsimile, copier, personal computer, etc.
3.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
  • The associate will be working in many environments inside and outside the facility.
  • Associate will have exposure to aircraft, flight training devices, and other equipment.
  • May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
