The Continuing Education Department at Bergen Community College invites applications for a part-time instructor position in our Corporate Training ESL program. A qualified ESL instructor will provide English language lessons to students who work at local companies.

Salary: $35 - $50 per hour, depending on experience
The Continuing Education Department at Bergen Community College invites applications for a part-time instructor position in our Corporate Training ESL program. A qualified ESL instructor will provide English language lessons to students who work at local companies.
POSITION SUMMARY
- Conduct activities and lessons based on ESL teaching methodologies
- Maximize students' talk time through oral tests and presentations
- Plan lessons and activities, adopt a creative approach, and encourage and motivate students to learn
- Deliver online classes if necessary
- Develop the course curriculum in compliance with industry standards
- Maintain daily attendance
- Monitor students' performance to make suggestions for improvement and ensure they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives
- Evaluate and grade students' progress and achievement
- Motivate students to participate in all aspects of the educational process actively
- Assist with course/program evaluation
Locations:
- On-site at Corporate locations in Bergen County
- Paramus Campus
- Lyndhurst Campus
- Online
Available Time Slots:
- Two weekday evenings between 6:30pm and 8:30pm (any evening from Monday to Friday)
- Two weekday afternoons between 3:00-5:00pm
- Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 1:00pm

SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- TEFL Certification
Experience:
- TEFL Certification
- Excellent command of the English language
- Ability to teach students of all ages and from different backgrounds
- Ability to work after-hours and on weekends
- Display patience and cultural awareness
