Full-time ESL Instructor

ESL Instructor responsibilities

1. Teach English language skills to non-native speakers, including speaking and listening, as well as reading and writing in an academic context.
2. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of individual students.
3. Track student progress through regular assessments.
4. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.
5. Create a positive learning environment that promotes active participation, critical thinking, and creativity.
6. Use a variety of teaching methods, materials, and technology to engage students and enhance their learning.
7. Collaborate with other instructors and administrators to support student learning and development.
8. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.

ESL Instructor required skills

1. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
2. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse students and learning styles.
5. Experience with technology and the use of educational software and online tools.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, and colleagues.
7. Creativity and innovation in teaching methods and materials.

Required qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), or similar certification.

Desired qualifications

      1. Previous teaching experience, preferably in an ESL or EFL context.
