Job DescriptionJob Description
Basic Function
Responsible for developing and delivering training and education to the clients enrolled in Engagement Works at their workplace or another convenient location. Act as a strong liaison between employers and employees to develop partnerships and education modules that will provide necessary skill sets. Provide training and instruction that is grounded in Employability and Life Skills and is specific to the refugee groups working.
Responsibilities
1. Use various teaching techniques to provide training and education workshops with a focus on helping New Americans learn how to navigate work and life in the United States.
2. Partner with employers to develop a curriculum that meets the needs of both ETSS clients and the workplace.
3. Provide instruction in job specific skills that will help New American”s successfully acclimate to their first job and provide guidance for increasing their skills for their current employer.
4. Daily attendance tracking and case notes of participants attending ESOL class and job skills training.
5. Assist with conducting an annual needs assessment to ensure that the program is addressing the workplace and ESOL instructional and social service needs of the target communities.
6. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and program special events.
7. Perform other duties as required by the program and Engagement Works Manager.

Education
Bachelor”s Degree with TESOL Certification or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
Previous experience in developing and delivering training modules. Previous experience working in multi-level ESOL classroom instruction. Understanding of and willingness to demonstrate communication, time management, problem solving and workplace issue competency. Familiarity with social service programs, working with the refugee and immigrant community in educational, employment, and language programming. Collaboration with community partners.
Other Requirements
Possession of a valid Ohio driver's license, reliable vehicle, and automobile insurance. Evening and weekend availability.
