Position:
Adult ESL Instructor
Effective Date:
August 26, 2024
Hours:
4.125 hours per day=8.25 hours per week.
2 evenings per week (Monday/Wednesday)
203 days per year
Required Licensure:
Current MN Teaching Licensure: ESL K-12 or in process of gaining licensure.
Required Experience:
Teaching ELL adults from diverse educational, language and socioeconomic backgrounds. Experience with, CASAS, SID, & digital online instructional platforms. Proven ability building relationships with students and staff. Experience utilizing volunteers in a classroom setting. Experience working as a contributing member of a team. Experience with Adult ESL best practices and knowledge of three ABE content area standards a plus. Knowledge of Canvas a plus.
Responsibilities:
Teach English to beginning adult ESL students. Participate in administering testing and regularly conference with students to discuss progress.
