Adult ESL Instructor-LCR

Hours:

4.125 hours per day (includes non instructional time)

Saturday 9:15-12:00 Classtime (2.75 hours of classtime and 1.375 hours of non-instructional time to include; prep, meetings, input daily attendance)

Required Licensure:

Current MN Teaching Licensure: ESL K-12 or Tier 2 equivalent

Required Experience:

Teaching ELL adults in a diverse environment, experience with CASAS, SID, Northstar Digital Literacy and Distance Learning, knowledge and understanding of 3 ABE Content Area Standards, ability to build relationships with students and staff, and experience utilizing volunteers in a classroom setting

Responsibilities:

• Teaching English as a Second Language to adults from diverse cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• On going lesson planning, testing and working with a team.
• Knowledge of CANVAS a plus!
