Description:

Elementary school teachers must have knowledge of best practices appropriate for students at all stages of development through the elementary years. They must be comfortable teaching all content strands in sufficient depth to meet state standard requirements as well as to help students extend and connect deeper and more advanced concepts as the opportunities emerge. The ideal candidate should have familiarity working in an elementary school building, in team settings, and as a member of a professional learning community. Candidates should be knowledgeable of current practices and strategies appropriate for all students regarding instruction, assessment, and differentiation.

Qualifications: Must possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an ESL endorsement or approval.
