  • Provide English language instruction that focuses on reading, speaking, listening, and writing.
  • Create and implement daily lesson plans.
  • Imbed contextualized instruction, math language, and digital literacy into learning plans.
  • Engage learners through relevant, multisensory educational activities.
  • Support department policies and procedures.
  • Administer various formal and informal skills assessments.
  • Participate in professional development.
  • Record and report accurate student attendance.
  • Ensure compliance and confidentiality with all policies and procedures of the College, NC Community College System, and applicable state and federal agencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or English as a Second Language (ESL) credential.
  • Comfort with using technology in the classroom.
