Jo Study English Academy is a private language school, based in Leamington Spa, for young learners, such as, winter, spring and summer camps for individuals as well as groups. We also provide tailored-made programmes for closed group, staying with our homestay families, which is called mini-stay. We aims to provide a safe and condusive environment, in which students can learn, make new friends and gain cultural experience about Britain Life.

Jo Study Language Camps is specialised in having summer centres across different countries, namely Dubai, United States, Malta, and United Kingdom.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an EFL Teacher. The EFL Teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, creating and delivering effective English language lessons, training students in language acquisition and communication, and maintaining open communication with students' parents/guardians about their progress.

Being a member of academic staff delivering average 30-hour of English lesson per week: 3 hours in the mornings, your teaching timetable will vary according to the campus requirements. You will work on an English programme as designated by the Academic Manager considering your skills and experience.

  • Recognised Teaching Qualification: CELTA, Cert TESOL, Primary PGCE, English PGCE or equivalent (or other PGCE for teachers of subject based lessons only).
  • Degree level education or extensive working experience including professional development.
  • Ability to plan and deliver student-centred lessons
  • Commitment to working with children/ teenagers.
  • Understanding of and commitment of safeguarding.
  • Teamworking skills and experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organised approach to work with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
  • Interest in CPD and willingness to develop teaching skills and practice.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about teaching language, has exceptional communication skills, and can create and deliver effective lessons to meet the needs of students at all levels. Fluency in a second language is also a plus.
