Advertised Job Summary
English Programs for Internationals (http://www.epi.sc.edu/) of the University of South Carolina invites applications for an Instructor/Sponsored Programs Coordinator position. The successful candidate will be able to teach ESL at all levels and will be prepared, under the guidance of the Director, to assist in the development and coordination of grant-funded and sponsored short-term programs. Submissions from candidates who possess experience teaching English as a Second Language in U.S.-based, university-governed intensive English programs, as well as overseas, and who have a demonstrated history of project development, administration, and budgeting are especially welcome.
This is a 10.5-month renewable appointment after June 30, 2024.
Qualifications
A Master's in Applied Linguistics/SLA/TESL/TEFL (or closely-related field) and a minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in a US-based intensive English program - OR - A Master's/Doctorate in a related field and a minimum of 18 earned credit-hours at the graduate level in the areas of linguistics, culture and society, educational foundations, second-language pedagogy, second-language assessment, and a minimum of four years of teaching experience, preferably in a US-based intensive English program; Prior experience with sponsored programs, project management.
