ANNOUNCEMENT

Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the part-time position of English as a Second Language Instructor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Education or English
• Master's degree in TESOL highly preferred.
• ESL Teaching experience in an adult learning context highly preferred.
• Knowledge of second language acquisition process required
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to integrate appropriate technology into teaching strategies.
• Experience teaching in a multicultural environment preferred.

STARTING PAY AND HOURS

Rate of pay is compensable to years of experience in Adult Education and level of credential in accordance to the terms and conditions of the current collective bargaining agreement with the adjunct faculty. For example, $57.78 per instructional contact hour for base Master's degree.

WORK LOCATION

Belleville Campus, Sam Wolf Granite City Campus, and other off-site locations
