Starting Pay Rate: Per Adjunct Faculty Pay Scale
Schedule Information: Days/evenings/weekends depending upon course schedule
The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Your application can remain "Under Review by Committee" for 18 months. You may check your status at any time by logging into jobs.harpercollege.edu with your username and password.
: Teach classes in academic Reading, Writing, Grammar, Communication Skills, and related areas to English as a Second Language students. Courses in the academic ESL program prepare students for higher education and professional goals. Courses range from high-beginning to advanced level; some courses are part of our Intensive English Program.
Education Requirements: Master's degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics or closely related area is required.
Experience Requirements: Required: Three years of teaching experience. Preferred: Teaching experience in English as a Second Language for Academic Purposes (EAP) in higher education in the United States. Native or near-native proficiency in English
