*About the Department:*
INTO Mason is a partnership between George Mason University and INTO University Partnerships which supports international students from application to graduation. INTO Mason provides English language instruction and pathway programs to international students who need additional support and English language skills to succeed at Mason.
*Responsibilities:*
Organized, reliable, and committed individuals are sought to teach integrated skills (e.g., reading/writing and listening/speaking) in our intensive Academic English program. There may also be open assignments in the summer and/or fall in INTO Mason's Undergraduate Pathway program for English for Academic Purposes (EAP) classes. Teaching assignments may include one or more of the following.
* Academic English Core course (reading/writing/grammar focus) for 10 hours per week in the fall/spring semesters and 15 hours per week in the 10-week summer session.
* Oral Communication Skills (OCS) course (listening/speaking/vocabulary focus) for 6 hours per week in the fall/spring semesters and 10 hours per week in the 10-week summer session.
* Elective course (content-based language instruction) for 2 to 4 hours per week in the fall/spring semesters.
* Undergraduate EAP course(s) for 2 to 4 credits in the summer and/or fall.
*Required Qualifications:*
* Must have a minimum of a master's degree in TESOL/TEFL or a related field, as well as successful language teaching experience. Candidates with a master's degree in a related field like education should have a TESL certificate or be able to demonstrate successful completion of coursework in TESL.
* Employment is contingent upon providing the university, prior to or shortly after the first day of employment, official documentation of degrees earned (an unofficial transcript is acceptable as part of the application process). International degree holders are responsible for providing a certified third-party translation and evaluation of their academic transcripts.
* Current qualified George Mason University graduate students are encouraged to apply and will be hired into a Graduate Lecturer position.

* At least two years of successful language teaching experience.
