Teacher of ESL

Burlington County Institute of Technology is searching for a candidate with a valid NJDOE Instructional Certificate as a of Teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL) to serve in a full year leave replacement position. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary. Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the school staff, particularly classroom teachers and the parents of each student. Experience with the SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) model is preferred.
