Serve on the faculty in the College of Arts & Sciences Writing Program, which offers the sequence of writing seminars through which BU undergraduates satisfy their writing requirements, with primary responsibility for teaching first-year writing seminars for international students.Specialize in teaching English as a second language (TESOL), including teaching a range of first-year writing seminars to international students and helping the program as a whole develop inclusive and excellent pedagogies informed by TESOL research and practice.Participate in professional development activities.Contribute to mentoring initiatives in the writing program.Participate actively in service to program, college, and/or university committees and initiatives, especially those related to student writing, English language acquisition, translingualism, and cross-cultural learning.Engage with developments in TESOL research and maintain a scholarly research agenda.
