The UGA Intensive English Program (IEP) offers a rigorous, supportive, and student-centered English language program that helps its students develop the English language proficiency and cultural competencies needed to communicate effectively in a variety of social situations, enter and succeed in American Universities, and take the next steps in their professional careers.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in ESL/TESOL, World Language Education, Linguistics, English, or a related field
- Two years of experience with teaching English to speakers of other languages
- Experience with teaching adult learners
- Experience with curriculum design, unit and lesson planning, assessment of language proficiency development
- Experience with in-person and virtual instruction
- Ability to teach all levels of English as a foreign language (beginner, intermediate, advanced/professional)
