The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils and promote pupils' independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. They will support pupils, individually or in groups, to make sure they have the best chance of succeeding.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will need to fully support students up to GCSE level, adapt your support depending on the needs of the student, and make observations and carry out sessions instructed by the teacher to improve progress.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will be working alongside teachers, as well as other support staff, in order to help students to progress within the classroom.

Key skills and experience needed for this Experienced Teaching Assistant / HLTA position:

* Degree is preferred, in subjects such as psychology and sociology

* Ideal to have completed TEFL/CELTA

*Passionate about teaching and knowledge of the UK curriculum

* An enthusiastic and creative approach to learning.

* Support with the delivery of the curriculum.

* High levels of professionalism.

If you already have the ability to lead a class with experience, this would be advantageous but is not essential.
