The Superintendent of Schools, Dr.Tonja M. Williams, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for a part-time hourly position in the Adult Education Program for the 2023-2024 school year.
ADULT EDUCATION - ESL EVENING INSTRUCTOR PART-TIME HOURLY
Quality Inn - Mondays and Wednesdays - 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Quality Inn - Tuesdays and Thursdays - 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Workplace Literacy Center - WLC - Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a New York State Teaching Certificate or a New York State Adult Education Certificate. Candidates will also be required to take or show proof of Child Abuse Reporting, SAVE, and DASA workshops. It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screen shot of their certifications.
EXPERIENCE:
Prefer all candidates to have at least three (3) years' experience working with ESL and foreign-born adults in a workplace or educational setting.
DUTIES:
Teachers must be able to implement the instructional program in the appropriate area following curriculum guidelines provided, NYS Standards/Goals, adhere to NRS Standards, evaluate students and instruction, and utilize the database and prescriptive software systems currently available. Other duties as needed. Teachers must attend a minimum of 10 staff development hours by EPE guidelines and participate in the orientation course with Western New York Consortium Professional Staff Development.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of credentials, experience, and evaluation of service.
