The Assistant Director of the Writing Center and Coordinator of Multilingual Writing Support provides training and supervision for peer writing consultants, campus leadership, and education regarding second language writing and other areas of expertise, and one-on-one support and workshops for student writers of varying skill levels.
The Assistant Director will also support the day-to-day operations in The Writing Center and the long-term program, collaborate with the Director to select, train, mentor, assign, and supervise peer writing consultants, and offer, develop, and provide support for faculty in their work with multilingual students.

The successful candidate possesses a masters degree in teaching English as a second language, leadership experience in writing center work, and experience and demonstrated success in teaching/tutoring academic writing to multilingual students at the postsecondary level. Preferred qualifications include experience in reading instruction and/or reading strategies, and demonstrated ability to collaborate across offices, departments, and divisions.
