Columbia School of English is seeking a part-time academic coordinator to join our dynamic team of ESL professionals! The position be overseeing the program curriculum development and instructional staff, as well as assisting the director with other administrative and human resources tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director and team staff members in strategic formulation, implementation and control by contributing to business plans, business development and diversification in other fields of education
  • Keep track of school costs and take immediate corrective action
  • Ensure that logistical requirements are planned for in advance in response to increase/decrease of sales
  • Ensure maximization of classroom efficiency, while at the same time ensuring quality standards are upheld
  • Ensure standards are implemented according to the Academic Curriculum, adhered to and understood by all members of the Academic team
  • Keep well-informed of competition, in terms of programs offered, employment conditions, course content, and other services provided
  • Address any academic areas that need to be improved on, and to tackle problems that might arise and affect the academic welfare of students
  • Ensure that quality objectives in relation to academic targets are met, if not exceeded
  • Ensure that academic standards are upheld and implemented

Key Working Relationships:
  • Supervision of all instructors
  • Great relations with the management team and other administrative staff
  • Contributing to the realization and success of CSE's mission and goals

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
  • M.A. TESOL (may accept M.A TESOL candidates in process)
  • Substantial experience teaching -- ESL/EFL in a mixed language environment
  • Efficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite applications

Desirable:
  • Administrative experience in language schools
  • Overseas teaching experience preferred
