CIEE's Internships and Professional Exchanges (IPEX) Division is reinventing our internship and professional exchange offerings to be the market leader in early career global talent development. In the next decade, we will be scaling our placements in these programs by 10X to prepare more of the world's youth for a global workplace. Fundamental to this initiative is establishing strong relationships with employers around the world who will be providing internship and training placements to the young talent whom we work with.

Who you are:
Annually, the Funded Programs Team facilitates approximately 125 international scholarships for participants of Exchange Foundations clients the Albanian-American Development Fund (AADF), the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF), and the Romanian-American Foundation (RAF) to participate in research projects, professional internships, and youth leadership training. Additionally, we facilitate approximately 260 American and International High School Grant students to participate in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (CBYX), Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program, and the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange & Study (YES) Program. This position will work across the CIEE Funded Programs division.
The Coordinator, of Funded Programs is responsible for supporting all aspects of these programs, including but not limited to program finance, participant selection, custom internship placement, and programmatic activity tracking. This includes coordination with program participants, host organizations, international program representatives, the U.S. Department of State, and other CIEE teams

What you'll do:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the CIEE Funded Programs Division
- Assist with participant disbursements, financial reporting, reconciliations, monthly stipends, and other programmatic tracking requirements
- Assist with participant application review, selection, and on-program support
- Support custom internship placements, including visa document preparation
- Respond in a timely and professional manner to general email inquiries from program participants, volunteers, staff, and international representatives
- Communicate effectively across teams and with different stakeholders as a representative of CIEE
What you'll bring:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher
- Exceptional attention to detail, superior organizational, and time management skills, and ability to remain flexible with regularly shifting priorities
- Ability to learn new processes quickly, take initiative, and provide suggestions for efficiencies and improvements
- Strong Excel skills including functions, formulas, and data analytics are a must
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Strong professional written and verbal communication skills, with a variety of stakeholders
- Intercultural communication experience is a plus
- Computer skills including MS Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential
