Position Title (Classification Title): IEP Instructor Pool - International Affairs, Instructor Working Title: IEP Instructor Job Summary: Teaching English as a second language in Reading, Grammar, Listening & Speaking, and Writing classes. Instructors are assigned based on student enrollment each semester and others in Pool will assist in teaching when the assigned IEP Instructor is out. A 0.025 FTE of 0.025 (2 hours bi-weekly) to maintain IEP Instructor status in between assignments. Intensive English Program classes are set Monday - Thursday from 8:00am - 12:30pm. Department International Affairs FLSA: Non-Exempt Position Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of

specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) or a related field, but will consider a Bachelor's degree in TESL or a related field and two years language teaching experience in an accredited college or university. Additional requirements include ability to use Microsoft Office applications, effective oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Physical Demands:
  • Physical Requirements: No unusual physical requirement. Requires no heavy lifting and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
