Teacher of ESOL/SPANISH/FRENCH - Fixed Term until 28/6/2024
Leith Academy

Salary: £31,584 - £47,565 per year
Hours: 35 hours per week

A full-time temporary teacher of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) is required to join our enthusiastic team. While this post will be based in the English department, it may also suit a Modern Languages teacher as this role will primarily support our newly arrived Ukrainian pupils in terms of ESOL provision but will also incorporate teaching of French and Spanish up to National 5 level.

We are particularly keen to hear from those with experience of teaching ESOL or TEFL who have the enthusiasm, skills and creativity to deliver 'Success in Learning for All' to our diverse young people, and who will play an effective role in our committed departments.

You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons for S1-6 as well as working collegiately with members of both the English and Modern Languages departments. Leith Academy has 1:1 iPads throughout the school to help improve learning both in school and at home; as such, the successful applicant should be confident when incorporating digital learning in their classroom.
Leith Academy is a diverse and comprehensive secondary school in Edinburgh. The school roll is currently around 1000 pupils.
