About your school

Opened in September 2020, Nord Anglia School Guangzhou, Panyu is located at Xihe Road, Panyu district and covers an area of 43 acres. With a total student capacity of 1728 and a boarding capacity of 728, Nord Anglia School Guangzhou, Panyu (NAS Guanghzou, Panyu) will provide a state of the art, world-class learning and teaching environment with a total student capacity of 1,800 and a boarding capacity of 880 for students aged 6-15. Providing a unique blended learning experience, NAS Guanghzou, Panyu will offer students the best of Eastern and Western education resources and philosophies. The bilingual programme will follow a progressive blend of core elements of the Chinese National Curriculum with other renowned international curricula taught through the medium of Mandarin Chinese and English.

Through our collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT and UNICEF, we embrace innovation to ensure students and teachers have the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in the future.

Global academic results

The 2020-2021 school year was the strongest ever in terms of Nord Anglia Education's academic results. For the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, our students achieved a 36.2 global point average and a 98% pass rate, with over 20 students earning a perfect score of 45. In the A-levels, our students achieved 65.4% of grades at A*-A, along with 83.7% at A*-B, with a group-wide pass rate of 99.4% and seven schools achieving a perfect 100% pass rate. In this year's I/GCSE results, 59.6% of students achieved A*-A grades, with a group-wide pass rate of 89.5% and 13 Nord Anglia schools achieving a perfect 100% pass rate.

About the role

Join our fast-paced international environment, and you will deliver UK National Curriculum and IGSCE or International Baccalaureate programmes. You will challenge your students to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and use innovative teaching practices to enhance our students' experiences and outcomes.

About you

With the ability to create a classroom culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved, you will have a university degree in your specialist subject, a teaching qualification plus considerable teaching experience and knowledge of the curriculum. Receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, you will be keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers.

A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. Your strong motivation and communication skills will also enable you to create a feeling of energy, excitement, and personal investment within the classroom. You will also be able to meet visa- related restrictions for China, including:

- At least Bachelor's Degree and Teaching qualification

- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience

- International teaching experience

- Experience in a bilingual language learning environment

- ESL in the Mainstream certification or equivalent

Selection Process

The closing date for application is July 2023. Due to global travel restrictions, all interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams or online video calls. There will be three stages of interview, including a panel interview.
