Learning Support Mentor

Engage Education are currently recruiting a Learning Support Mentor to work with the relevant Assistant/Head of Year and Learning Managers to ensure the emotional and social development and academic progress of pupils in a Primary school in Bradford.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within an education setting and have a passion for supporting young people. The candidate will be available to work full time for this role.

Main responsibilities:

• Take up the role of mentor, meeting with pupils to discuss and implement action and behaviour plans
• Support learners with academic problems and provide pastoral support
• Manage learner behaviour by establishing and maintaining rules and procedures in line with the schools behaviour policies
• Work with SENDCO to promote and support inclusion of all learners
• Assist with SEN support
• Work with staff members to support implementation of individual, group and whole class activities and intervention sessions
