INTENSIVE ENGLISH PROGRAM

IEP (Position Code No. 22-1201-AUKWEB 10): The Intensive English Program invites applications for a full-time instructor position. The successful candidate must hold at least a Master’s Degree in Developmental Education, English as Second Language, or related field. An additional TESOL/CELTA certification is strongly preferred. Candidates must have strong teaching skills, outstanding communication abilities with native-like fluency in written and spoken English, and excellent motivational and instructional skills. Preferred 2 years’ experience teaching in a post-secondary institution of higher learning, including experience in teaching English to non-native speakers of diverse and multicultural communities. The applicant must also be proficient in computer skills. The instructor is responsible for teaching the assigned curriculum. Other duties include, but are not limited to, planning, evaluating assigned coursework in the program’s skills/content-based courses, participating in program assessment initiatives, and University service.
