Engage Education are actively seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support Key Stage 1 & 2 learners in a Bradford based Primary school. The job will be suitable for individuals who have prior experience working with primary aged children and are comfortable working with Special Educational Needs.
The ideal candidate should:

Have high aspirations and expectations for all children in behaviour and achievement.

Communicate clearly with the teacher, TA's and parents.

Be a kind, motivated, positive and supportive person.

Demonstrate good teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Have the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of individual students.
The role will include:
-
Working 1:1 or in small groups supporting pupils with additional learning needs and challenging behaviour.
-
Demonstrating high levels of patience and empathy when dealing with challenging behaviour.
-
Assisting teachers when implementing their lesson plans by ensuring that the children are engaged and cared for throughout.

Creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and enjoyable learning environment even when placed under-pressure.

Working closely as part of a quick, efficient, and consistent team with other members of teaching staff to provide the best care possible for the pupils.

Experience working in a range of scenarios, with children from a multitude of backgrounds and circumstances including SEN support, ESL (English as Second Language), challenging behaviour support and intervention support.
