Organized, reliable, and committed individuals are sought to teach integrated skills (e.g., reading/writing and listening/speaking) in our intensive Academic English program and English for Academic Purposes courses. Teaching assignments may include one or more of the following:

    Academic English Core course (reading/writing/grammar focus) for 10 hours per week;
    Oral Communication Skills (OCS) course (listening/speaking/vocabulary focus) for six hours/week;
    Elective course (content-based language instruction) for two to four hours per week; and
    English for Academic Purposes, Graduate and Undergraduate courses (one to four credits/course).

    INTO Mason is also running "October Start" sections of Academic English Core (10 hours per week for half the semester) and OCS classes (8 hours per week for half the semester) so is looking to hire new adjunct faculty members for some of those classes. Applicants interested in those October Start sections are highly encouraged to apply by the last date for full consideration although interested applicants for the spring semester can also apply before or after that date.

    Employment is contingent upon providing the university, prior to or shortly after the first day of employment, official documentation of degrees earned (an unofficial transcript is acceptable as part of the application process). International degree holders are responsible for providing a certified third-party translation and evaluation of their academic transcripts.

    Current qualified George Mason University graduate students are encouraged to apply and will be hired into a Graduate Lecturer position.
