Multilingual Learner Curriculum Specialist - (220000N8) Job Summary  Towson University (TU) is one of the nation’s top 100 public universities. The College of Education is accepting application for a Multilingual Learner Curriculum Specialist. This position will build Towson University’s capacity for creating sustainable products that can be used over time by faculty, teachers, staff, and families to further their knowledge in the English to Speakers of Other Languages field or build on their existing literacy skills. This is a 40 hour/week contractual position.

 

  Responsibilities and Duties  

Collaborate with local partners and faculty to design and deliver resources, workshops, book studies, and coaching related to multilingual learners’ instruction. Research relevant topics to develop resources, by connecting with university faculty and local partners to investigate areas of interest. Support faculty, teachers, and staff implementing resources and curriculum developed.

    Qualifications and Skills  

  • Bachelor's degree Knowledgeable educator with three years of experience working with multilingual learners and their families, providing professional development, and creating educational resources Strong skills in communication, organization, writing, technology to develop online resources

  Salary and Benefits 

$70,000 annually and a contract that offers annual leave, holidays, sick days and tuition remission. Contractual employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage.
