The English & Modern Languages (EML) Department seeks a tenure-track faculty member specializing in Second Language Acquisition (SLA) and Second Language (L2) Pedagogy. The successful candidate will teach courses in linguistics, research methods, SLA, and L2 Pedagogy offered in the English B.A. and M.A. programs, create new courses in their area of scholarly and professional interest, provide service to the Department, College, and the University, and conduct research. EML is a blended department that seeks to expand its interdisciplinary connections in teaching and research as well as to further diversify its students’ professionalization.  As such, it welcomes candidates who have the ability to work across the disciplines already residing in the Department or the ability to add to the current disciplinary and professionalizing offerings.
