Position: The Applied Linguistics and TESOL program at Teachers College, Columbia University invites applications for a one-year lecturer position in language and education for the academic year 2022-2023.

Responsibilities: Teach graduate courses in Sociolinguistics, Educational Linguistics, Classroom Practices, and possibly other courses related to TESOL and Applied Linguistics. The teaching load is five, three-credit courses in the academic year with the possibility of teaching up to two summer courses for extra pay. In addition to teaching, the candidate is expected to advise M.A. students, participate in routine program administrative activities, and engage in scholarly activities, furthering their research and professional profile in Applied Linguistics and TESOL.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field, a record of successful ESL/EFL teaching experience, a demonstrated record of graduate level teaching and teacher education, and the ability to work collaboratively.
