Title: ESL Instructor Passaic, Hudson and Bergen Counties
Reports to: Executive Director of Head Start and VP of Education and Training
Provides overall coordination and instruction for the ESL program including recruitment, testing of adult students, curriculum and lesson plan development, ESL level placements, and teaching, as well as collection of all statistics and compilation of required data entry and reports.
- Recruiting students -Head Start parents, staff and other
- Testing students for ESL educational level.
- Teaching classes.
- Maintaining statistics and other needed information.
- Compiling quarterly reports and data entry.
- Development of curricula and program design based on student educational goals and needs.
- Coordinates with ETC Program Coordinator and Records and Head Start staff to insure all program supplies are ordered and class lists and schedules are arranged.
- Other educational duties as needed.
- A minimum of B.A. Degree with ESL teaching experience.
- Teacher Certification preferred.
- Ability to work well with a diverse, multi-cultural population.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Valid NJ Driver's License
