Job Summary
Continuing Education and Community Engagement's English Language Institute is hiring adjunct ESL instructors to teach ESL classes on a rolling basis.
Responsibilities
- Teach ESL classes according to the class objectives and materials
- Read ELI Mission and curriculum, prepare class syllabus according to the provided syllabi templates, read and follow guidelines outlined in the ELI Faculty Handbook
- Attend one faculty meeting and 2 sponsored activities (6 hrs. total) per session
- Keep attendance, report attendance daily, record grades weekly, be able to arrange for substitutes in the event of an absence, maintain communication with ELI and check email daily
Minimum Qualifications
Master's in TESOL or in a related field with a TESOL Certificate and teaching experience, preferably in a variety of skills and levels.
Preferences
Incumbent must be self- motivated, responsible, able to work individually and as a member of a team, and have the ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety of cultures and countries
