A forward-thinking SEN school in Brent is looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant you will be providing in-class support and assist the class teacher in effectively managing the classroom. You will be supporting needs such as profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), global delay (GD), autism (ASD), English as additional language (EAL, ESL), behavioural challenges, and social emotional mental health (SEMH) needs.

  • £85-£95 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Long-term, full-time

The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant will:

  • Have a positive and resilient attitude to provide the best care for SEN pupils
  • Have good SEN experience, especially of profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), global delay (GD), autism (ASD), English as additional language (EAL, ESL), behavioural challenges, and social emotional mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Be comfortable with both in class and on 1:1 support, when needed
  • Have a valid DBS / police check
