Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes - Full time fixed term until July 22

Must be based in the North East and be able to communicate to Northumbria University

QA Higher Education works in partnership with Northumbria University to manage and deliver International Foundation Programmes (IFP), a Graduate Certificate (GC) and an International Year One (IYO) Programme. These pathway programmes enable international students to prepare for and meet the challenges of university study before they enter level 3 (IFP), level 4 (IYO) or level 6 (GC). All teaching takes place on the main university campus in Newcastle, currently online due to COVID-19.
QA Higher Education is seeking staff to contribute to the teaching of English for Academic Purposes across these pathway programmes, perhaps mainly on the IFP. Staff will teach across a range of modules that cover language development and skills as well as the opportunity to teach other modules with academic content. The Pathway College is working towards British Council accreditation and as such all teachers would be expected to contribute and maintain our high standards.
Candidates should have:
TEFLQ status (e.g. a DELTA or MA in TESOL / Applied Linguistics)*
Experience of teaching English for Academic Purposes to international students
Experience of teaching English for Academic Purposes at level 3 and level 6
A BA / BSc or equivalent qualification in a relevant area
Ideally an MA / MSc or equivalent qualification in a relevant area
Ideally, candidates will have experience of teaching in a UK HE environment
