Your new company

Your new workplace is a mainstream, one form entry primary school in Burnley. The school is rated OFSTED outstanding and has an award winning senior leadership team, who will offer ongoing guidance and support if needed. The year 4 class has a diverse range of pupils from different backgrounds, with various levels of ability.

Your new role

Your new role will be full-time, 5 days per week with an initial 6 month temporary period. Subject to performance, this role may become permanent. In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Lesson planning
• Lesson delivery across the national curriculum
• Assessment and marking
• Safeguarding
• Supporting pupils with SEN or ESL

You may receive support from a specialist Teaching Assistant if needed.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful applicant will have a passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference. Please apply if you have obtained, or are working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Recent teaching experience (including training placements) is essential, preferably within the last year.

If you aren't a qualified Teacher, but have recent experience working with children, we may have other roles available for you.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive a generous rate of pay (scaling with experience). Your daily rate of pay will be in the region of £85 for NQT's or £125 for experienced teachers. As a Hays teacher you will also receive ongoing guidance from a Hays education consultant, with local market expertise; your consultant will offer careers guidance if needed.
