An online education company has an open position for a Remote Special Education Teacher.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
Taking ownership for student's academic progress and attendance
Preparing students for high stakes standardized tests
Conducting live Synchronous Teaching
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
Ability to travel as required (on average once per month and/or approximately 10% of the time)
Bachelor's degree and 6 months of student teaching experience
Meet requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher in subject area under No Child Left Behind
Certification for High School English and ESL/ELL endorsement
Pedagogical knowledge of content being taught and ability to apply critical thinking
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint
