Sports Specialist School Supervisor

Sports Specialist Classroom supervisor - required in vibrant Liverpool Secondary School - Maternity Leave

Hays Education are currently recruiting for a Sports Specialist Cover Supervisor/unqualified teacher to cover a PE Maternity leave in a large Secondary School based in Liverpool. This role is an excellent opportunity for people who have experience working with children and are looking to gain Secondary School experience or you may be an unqualified teacher looking for long term work. The role will be starting in September 2021.

Your new role
As a Sports specialist Cover Supervisor, you will be required to deliver pre planned PE lessons as well as general cover of different subjects where the work is pre-set by the subject teacher. You will need to supervise and manage behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment for all key stage 3 and 4 pupils, respond to questions from pupils and report back on pupil behaviour in line with school procedure. You must be reliable, have good availability and be able to commit for a full academic year.

What you'll need to succeed
Successful applicants may be degree or TEFL qualified, hold an FE PGCE, be overseas qualified teacher, hold HLTA status or may be studying part time for your PGCE. Teaching Assistants who have NVQ Level 3 may also be suitable as are youth workers or sports coaches. You must have strong communication skills and knowledge of the National Curriculum. You must also have proven experience in the last 2 years of working with large groups of children aged 11-16 that can be backed by references.
