Teaching Assistant - Preston

Preston primary school seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant for their Year 3 class.

Your new workplace is a mainstream, one form entry Primary School in central Preston, easily accessible by car or public transport. The school was recently rated OFSTED Outstanding, a standard the school wishes to maintain. The SLT are searching for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support their Year 3 class, which includes students from a variety of SEN and ESL backgrounds.

Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support day-to-day activities in a class of 26 students, assisting with lesson planning and delivery, whilst providing 1:1 support to ensure no child falls behind. You may also offer intervention groups, bringing together struggling students and teaching them various subjects across the curriculum. initially, you will work on a long-term temporary basis, although there is scope for the role to be made permanent.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application, you must have at least 2 months experience working with children, ideally in a classroom environment. Previous TA work and experience with special educational needs are also desirable. A willingness to learn and outgoing personality would be a big bonus.
