SEN Teaching Assistant - ASD focus | Friendly and Inclusive Primary School | Waltham Forest

The Head Teacher of a lovely, close-knit primary school based in Waltham Forest, East London, is looking for a confident and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support staff team after Easter.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a Year 2 student with high functioning ASD, delivering interventions within and beyond the classroom, building confidence and developing speech & language.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic individual to gain SEN experience whilst working in a rewarding, hands-on role and making a real difference! The ideal candidate for this SEN Teaching Assistant position will have:

•A brilliant personality - confident, motivated, and enthusiastic! Passionate about supporting children with SEN, and caring and compassionate in nature.

•Previous experience supporting children with SEN (highly desirable, but not essential)

•A strong academic background - GCSEs, A Levels and a degree from a reputable university

•Full-time - long-term with scope for permanent - April start
