The University of Arizona (UArizona) seeks up to five individuals to teach courses in first-year writing for undergraduate students in dual-degree programs at three universities in China, to begin in August 2021. Outstanding UA benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance plans; life insurance and disability programs; sick leave and holidays; UA/ASU/NAU tuition reduction for the employee and qualified family members; state and optional retirement plans; access to UA recreation and cultural activities; and more!

Instructors will teach the equivalent of four Foundations Writing courses per semester, participate in annual program assessment, and assist with up to two hours/week of program activities (e.g., discussion groups, movie nights) for students. Teachers work within the Writing Program curriculum from our main campus in Tucson, Arizona, and receive teacher support from main campus.

Instructors at Ocean University of China (OUC) in Qingdao, Shandong, will teach students in the UA-OUC program (launched in 2015), which allows Chinese students to earn undergraduate law degrees from both universities in four years, entirely in residence in China. The degree program is the first U.S.-China joint offering in law available fully in residence in China. Students in the program will earn an LLB (the law degree commonly offered outside the United States) from OUC and a bachelor of arts in law from UArizona—taking the same U.S. law courses and receiving the same legal training as UArizona bachelor’s in law students in Tucson.

Instructors at Northwest Agriculture & Forestry University (NWAFU) located near Xi’an, Shaanxi, will teach students in the UA-NWAFU Environmental Sciences undergraduate dual degree program (launched Fall 2020). The UA-NWAFU program allows students to earn their BS from both universities in four years, entirely in residence at NWAFU. NWAFU is ranked among the top 40 universities in China and is one of China’s top three agriculture universities.
